I am no longer a member of West End BC having moved to Devon in 2008 where I have joined Marldon Bowls Club

Consequently this site will no longer be updated by me.

Launching a wood	Members in the clubhouse

The club was founded in 1897 near Franklins Gardens, Northampton, (Now the home of Northampton Saints Rugby Club) and moved in 1963 to its current site in Mendip Road. The move included the clubhouse and the turf off the green.
More members are always welcome, both male and female, especially players who will play in the Thursday and Saturday men's sides or the ladies team. Enthusiasm is as important as ability. (Otherwise I would never have got in the side.)
In addition to the friendly games, the club enters teams in a range of knockout competitions and evening leagues and members are encouraged to enter County and Club Competitions. Any bowler who reaches the finals of County Competitions will be asked to play in the National Finals at Leamington Spa.

The Bar is stocked with a selection of beers and spirits, is open before and after matches and from 7:30pm most evenings in Summer.

As an ex-treasurer of the club and regular bowler, I'm always keen on increasing the membership of bowls clubs. From here you can print off, fill in and send us the Application for Membership Form
